Once again this year, the Allianz Arena will be lit up in purple on 3 December – as a symbol of the International Day of People with Disabilities. FC Bayern is taking part in the global initiative with the #PurpleLightUp campaign to send a visible signal for inclusion and participation.
„On the occasion of International Day for People with Disabilities, FC Bayern would like to once again raise awareness of integration and at the same time encourage those affected to play an active role in our society,“ explained President Herbert Hainer.
The club refers to numerous projects with which accessibility is lived in everyday life – from digital offers and special services in the stadium to innovative fan campaigns with the „Red Deaf“ fan club. The implementation of the Accessibility Reinforcement Act and the commitment to digital inclusion were particularly emphasized.
„Digital accessibility is not a project, but a clear commitment: everyone who wants to be there is part of the game – and part of FC Bayern,“ said Kim Krämer, the club’s Disabled Fans‘ Representative.
Despite solid performances, it remains unclear whether Nicolas Jackson will stay at FC Bayern in the long term. Chelsea are still demanding the full transfer fee – a deal in the summer is questionable. Find out here why the obligation to buy does not apply and what this means for Bayern’s plans.
