Szoboszlai Gets 8, Gakpo With 6 | Liverpool Players Rated In Disappointing Loss Vs Bournemouth

Liverpool faced off against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium earlier this evening as they hoped to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Reds made a poor start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 26th minute when Evanilson found the back of the net. Alex Jimenez doubled his team’s advantage in the 33rd minute. Virgil Van Dijk got a goal back for Liverpool in the first half injury-time as Arne Slot’s men went into the half-time break 2-1 down on the scoreline.
Dominik Szoboszlai equalised with a great strike in the 80th minute. However, Bournemouth scored the winning goal in injury time thanks to Amine Adli’s effort from close range. The contest finished with the Merseyside club suffering a disappointing 3-2 loss away from home.

RB: Jeremie Frimpong – 6/10
Frimpong caught the eye at times on both halves but lacked the cutting edge in the final third.
CB: Joe Gomez – 6/10
He looked shaky at the back and had to be replaced in the 34th minute.
CB: Virgil Van Dijk – 6.5/10
Van Dijk made a costly error that led to Evanilson’s opener. He managed to score in the first half injury-time but failed to organise his backline late in the game.

LB: Milos Kerkez – 6/10
He failed to deal with Alex Jimenez’s threat in the first half and was replaced at half-time.
CM: Alexis Mac Allister – 6/10
Mac Allister failed to get a foothold in the game and was replaced in the 58th minute.
CM: Ryan Graveberch – 6.5/10
He was a positive influence at both ends of the field.
LAM: Florian Wirtz – 6.5/10
Wirtz caused a few problems for the opposition defenders but failed to register a goal.
RAM: Dominik Szoboszlai – 8/10
He made a few decent chances for others around him and managed to score and create a goal.
ST: Cody Gakpo – 6/10
Gakpo was quiet for most of his time on the field and was replaced in the 73rd minute.
ST: Mohamed Salah – 7/10
He caused some headaches for his marker and has got an assist to show for his efforts.

He did his fair share of defending.
LB: Andy Robertson – 6/10
Robertson was full of energy and running on the left flank.
