Tahirys Dos Santos to publish ‘Une seconde pour renaître’ after Crans-Montana tragedy | OneFootball

Metz defender Tahirys Dos Santos, 19, caught up in the Crans-Montana nightclub tragedy in Switzerland on 1 January, will publish ‘Une seconde pour renaître’ on 7 May.

Fnac states that the book recounts New Year’s Eve on 31 December 2025 at the Constellation bar-nightclub, when celebrations turned into a deadly blaze, and his frantic bid to find his girlfriend before escaping. Both survived, though severely burned.

He returned to action with Metz’s reserves 100 days after the fire. He is set to sign a professional contract.

Written with journalist Arnaud Ramsay, the memoir charts the night everything changed and the long rehabilitation, asking how a footballer rebuilds when his body is permanently marked. It also reflects on turning trauma into mental strength.

The Crans-Montana incident left 41 dead and more than 100 injured.
