Graham Potter is set to take charge of our FA Cup clash with Aston Villa on Friday night.
The former Chelsea boss is understood to be buzzing with excitement to take over from Julen Lopetegui, who’s sacking is expected to be announced imminently by the club.
We understand that Potter is now at the London Stadium as he undertakes his media work ahead of the unveiling by the club, which could well be later today or possibly tomorrow morning.
In a bizarre turn of events and one that has many questioning the conduct of the club, Lopetegui has taken training today, fully aware it will be his last day at West Ham before being formally sacked this afternoon.
It’s also understood that Potter will be given funds and has already spoken at length with the club about the positions that are a priority this January transfer window, as the club look to turn around a so-far dire season.
