West Brom attacker Tammer Bany has been left out of Jordan’s final World Cup squad.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, head coach Jamal Sellami confirmed his final 26-man group on Tuesday, and the 22-year-old was not included.

Bany had hoped to make the tournament in Canada, the United States and Mexico after committing to Jordan at the start of this season. Born in Denmark and also eligible for Palestine, he debuted against Mali last November.

His Baggies career has stalled through fitness issues, including surgery on a serious thigh injury around the new year, and limited minutes since his move 18 months ago.

He has made eight appearances, all as a substitute, since a £3.3 million switch from Randers at the end of the 2025 winter window under the now departed sporting regime led by Andrew Nestor.

Bany’s 70 minutes of friendly action for Jordan bettered his game time across four outings for Albion, despite a 45-minute cameo in the final match, a 2-1 defeat at bottom side Sheffield Wednesday.

Jordan, World Cup debutants in group J with holders Argentina, selected only one player from Europe’s top five leagues, captain Musa Al-Taamari of Rennes. Bany would have been their only England-based call and Albion’s sole representative.
