Tarciane, the OL Lyonnes centre-back, was sent off in Brazil’s match against the USA overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday.
According to Le Progres, she came on in the 72nd minute and was dismissed in the 99th for striking an American opponent in the face while under pressure.

The USA won 1-0, with Lindsay (Horan) Heaps and Lily Yohannes in the starting line-up.
The contest was notable for eight red cards shown to Brazil, including two players during stoppage time, four members of staff, and two further players after the final whistle.
Brazil are set to host the World Cup in a year, for which the Bleues qualified on Tuesday.
