Corinthians have released a behind-the-scenes film of the 1-0 win over Gotham FC that sealed a place in the FIFA Women’s Club World Cup final against Arsenal. According to Meu Timao, it blends provocation with a rallying call for unity.
Running just over 17 minutes, it opens with Gabi Zanotti’s decisive strike and celebrations in front of a sizeable Fiel following at Gtech Community Stadium.
The soundtrack features Hylander by Abbot and Somynem.grin, including an expletive aimed at the United States, before cutting to coach Lucas Piccinato and his players at the whistle. A journalist covering Gotham is heard casting the Americans as heavy favourites expected to dominate.
Despite that, the mood stayed light, with singing on the bus and dances, jokes and a makeshift futmesa in the dressing room, before focus sharpened during the pitch walk.
Piccinato’s team talk stressed collective work and defensive compactness, urging the group to defend, attack, handle set plays and reorganise together. After the final warm-up, kitman Serginho delivered a fierce message that the match had to be theirs, however it came, and dismissed outside noise.
Match clips follow, then the poropopó with supporters. Zanotti and Gi Fernandes climbed an advertising board as images went viral, before a centre-circle huddle where Piccinato praised the effort and said unity gives the team the tools to win the decider. Corinthians are the first side confirmed for Sunday one February at 15:00, at Emirates Stadium.
