Thaciano suffers right thigh oedema, misses Santos in Paulistão | OneFootball

Thaciano has sustained right thigh oedema and will miss Santos in the Paulistão after departing the 1-1 draw with Corinthians.

He was withdrawn in the second half for Lautaro Díaz. According to Diario Do Peixe, he felt pain in the posterior muscle of his right thigh, post-match tests confirmed the oedema and he began treatment immediately with the club's physiotherapy department.

He has been a key figure at the start of 2026, featuring in four games, scoring once, and starting the last three under Juan Pablo Vojvoda.

No return date has been set, with his progress to be assessed daily by staff at CT Rei Pelé.

In other fitness updates, Gabriel Bontempo has begun on-pitch physical transition at CT Rei Pelé and could be an option for the Campeonato Brasileiro opener against Chapecoense on Wednesday 28.

Tiquinho Soares and Gustavo Henrique remain in physiotherapy for muscle injuries.
