Pep Guardiola bemoaned his side’s hectic schedule following Manchester City’s 1-0 win over Leeds.

City cut Arsenal’s lead at the top of the Premier League to two points on Saturday, with the Gunners set to face Chelsea on Sunday.

Antoine Semenyo struck the winner at Elland Road as City ground out a crucial victory in the title race.

They had to do it without star striker Erling Haaland, who was ruled out of the fixture with a minor injury that he picked up in training on Thursday.

Guardiola was sarcastic in his response to his team’s fixture list, with City still competing in all fronts this term.

They were drawn against Real Madrid in the Champions League last 16 on Friday, and they will take on Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final.

They play Newcastle away in the FA Cup fifth round, and they are also chasing Mikel Arteta’s men in the Premier League title race.

"We have three days [until Nottingham Forest]", Guardiola said.

"And then after in the FA Cup, thank you so much for letting us play at 8pm instead of 3pm so we have less recover to play Real Madrid.

"So again thank you so much. This is what you have to live [with], but you have to deal with that."

City face Nottingham Forest on Wednesday before a trip to Tyneside in the FA Cup at the weekend.

They then travel to Madrid to take on Real before a rearranged fixture at West Ham, which was originially scheduled for a Saturday lunchtime kick off, but that has now been moved to Saturday evening, for an 8pm GMT start.
