Regis Le Bris' side have as many as 10 players unavailable for this weekend's clash at The Den.

Millwall will be keen to build on their excellent recent form with another win against top-of-the-table Sunderland this weekend.

The Den has been a tricky place to go for some teams, even those who are at the top end of the table, with Burnley and Leeds United recently suffering losses in the English capital.

With Neil Harris doing a good job for the Lions, he will be hoping to continue in the same manner after the international break.

But they face one of their more difficult tasks of the season on Saturday, when they take on the Black Cats.

Regis Le Bris' side may not have been in the best form recently, stuttering a little in their quest to retain their place at the top of the Championship table, but they are still in top spot and have exceeded many people's expectations.

The contributions that youngsters Jobe Bellingham and Chris Rigg have made have been extremely valuable - and others have also stepped up to the plate - including Wilson Isidor.

Both teams will be desperate to secure a win at The Den to boost their respective promotion hopes, but it remains to be seen who comes out on top.

Ahead of this weekend's game, we take a look at who will be missing for both teams.

Neil Harris delivers positive Millwall injury update

Adam Mayor and Billy Mitchell, both of whom haven't played a single minute for the club this season, are edging closer to a return and Harris hasn't ruled out the possibility of both being included at the weekend, even though he wants to be patient with the pair.

He told the South London Press: "The boys coming back from long-term injury, Adam Mayor and Billy, are edging closer all the time. They are very close to selection opportunity, if need be.

"Billy and Adam are working up their minutes and training loads."

Tom Bradshaw should also be fitter after featuring against Stoke City before the international break.

Jobe Bellingham among those missing for Millwall clash

Bellingham, Trai Hume and Patrick Roberts are all suspended for this clash, and that's a real blow, considering how important the trio are for the Black Cats.

Roberts will be sorely missed due to his ability to be a real threat in the final third - and it will be interesting to see how they cope without him.

Aji Alese and Anthony Patterson are both fit, along with Adil Aouchiche and Abdoullah Ba, which is a boost.

However, Alan Browne and Romaine Mundle are both potentially set to be out of action for around six to eight weeks, with the former suffering a hamstring injury and the latter fracturing his leg before the international break.

Ahmed Abdullahi, Niall Huggins, Ian Poveda, Salis Abdul Samed and Jenson Seelt also remain out.

This isn't ideal for the Black Cats in their promotion quest.
