A look at two more players who could depart West Bromwich Albion in this summer's transfer window.

West Bromwich Albion have embarked upon a major rebuild this summer, with the Baggies unhappy about their drifting away from the top six and the play-off places last season.

Their underwhelming end to the campaign saw Tony Mowbray depart with a couple of games left of the campaign, and Ryan Mason, who had been a part of Ange Postecoglou’s coaching staff at Tottenham Hotspur, appointed at The Hawthorns.

Mowbray had seemingly been trusted with the young core of players at West Brom, and it appeared to be a surprising decision to part company without him having had a summer.

The policy of ensuring they continue to have a young and impressive squad is set to remain in place, with Mason expected to have been brought in to do that, albeit they have missed out on the loan signing of Mikey Moore, who has joined Rangers from Spurs.

Albion’s incoming business has been relatively slow so far in this summer’s transfer window, but they have been able to bring in centre-back Nat Phillips from Liverpool as well as Aune Heggebo from Brann and George Campbell from Charlotte.

West Brom may well be waiting for some outgoing business to free up space and funds for incoming deals, and so Football League World has looked at the players who could still yet depart the Baggies this summer.

Tom Fellows

A man whereby it is a surprise he is even still at West Brom now is England U21 international Tom Fellows, who was expected to have departed The Hawthorns by now.

He has been the subject of interest from Everton this summer, and it would be no surprise to see him depart with a month of the window to go. It wouldn’t be a surprise if the reason for him being there until now was due to his involvement at the UEFA U21 European Championship in Slovakia earlier this summer.

No player provided more assists than Fellows in the Championship last season, and he is still on an upward trajectory in terms of his development as a player.

The 22-year-old Solihull-born attacker is perhaps the gem of the West Brom squad, but, as he continues to develop into someone who could theoretically dominate the Championship, Albion may have their work cut out in keeping him at the club in the next few weeks. He is also now being linked with a move to Southampton, should Saints sanction the sale of Tyler Dibling.

Devante Cole

Another man who could, or perhaps even should, be departing The Hawthorns in this summer's transfer window is former Barnsley striker Devante Cole, who only joined the Baggies last summer.

After a couple of impressive seasons in League One with Barnsley, Cole departed Oakwell at the end of his contract, and he was picked up by second-tier Albion, but he only managed to make 14 league appearances, without scoring in those games last season.

Cole is seemingly desperate, or at least should be, to go out and get regular first-team minutes this season, and it has been reported that the Manchester City academy graduate is set to depart this summer.

League One clubs Port Vale and Reading have been linked with moves for the 30-year-old, but nothing has yet to come to fruition, with just a few weeks of the campaign to go in the summer transfer window.

Ryan Mason has his work cut out to make West Brom a side that can immediately sustain a challenge for promotion this season, and they look set for a busy couple of weeks in terms of both incomings and outgoings.
