The brass at La Liga giants Real Madrid have identified a quartet of players as the long-term future of the club’s midfield.
This of course comes amid a fresh wave of chatter surrounding the personnel situation in Spain’s capital at present.
Real Madrid were sent packing from the Champions League at the hands of Bayern Munich in midweek, facing up to a 2nd successive trophyless season as a result.
Eduardo Camavinga’s central role in as much gave rise to immediate calls for the Frenchman to be moved on, amid mounting pressure on his young shoulders.
And if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, then the Bernabéu hierarchy appear to harbour the same doubts regarding ‘Cama’ as the club’s fanbase.
As per a report from Blancos insider Guillermo Rai of The Athletic:
‘Aurélien Tchouaméni, Arda Güler, Federico Valverde and Jude Bellingham are considered long-term pillars in Real Madrid’s midfield.’
This means that uncertainty remains surrounding the futures of the likes of Camavinga, Dani Ceballos, Thiago Pitarch and even Franco Mastantuono.
