FC Bayern apparently isn’t done with player sales yet. Two potential transfers are on the horizon that could bring in some fresh cash for the Munich club.
Squad planning continues at full speed at Säbener Straße. The record champions have already presented two expensive new signings in Ismael Saibari and Nathaniel Brown, and sold Alexander Nübel to Istanbul. Now the bosses could orchestrate a double deal on the outgoing side—and thus generate additional revenue.
The most prominent name in this regard is Joao Palhinha. Although the Portuguese player is returning to Munich after his loan spell at Tottenham Hotspur, it’s only a formality: The Spurs have definitively decided against signing him permanently. Bayern are therefore looking for a new buyer—and might find one in Lisbon.
According to the Portuguese newspaper Record, Benfica is working on an offer for the defensive midfielder. The figure being discussed is 25 million euros—exactly the amount that was most recently reported as Bayern Munich’s asking price. Palhinha is under contract in Munich through 2028 and is said to earn around 9.5 million euros per year there.
In addition to an immediate sale, a second option is reportedly being discussed. This would involve a loan with a loan fee of 10 million euros and a subsequent mandatory buyout clause of 15 million. In this scenario, Bayern Munich would cover part of his salary. All told, this would also bring the total to around 25 million euros.
The situation is significantly more complicated with the second candidate: Bryan Zaragoza. The 24-year-old was signed on a permanent basis in 2024 but never established himself at the record-holding champions. That same summer, he went on loan to Osasuna, followed by stints at Celta Vigo and AS Roma. Most recently, a persistent knee injury sidelined him for months.

This is precisely where the Spanish website orgullobiri.com comes in: According to the report, Sevilla FC is considering another loan deal for the attacking player. But the Andalusians aren’t alone in this—Deportivo Alavés and Espanyol Barcelona are also reportedly monitoring the situation. According to the report, however, Sevilla wants to first ensure that Zaragoza’s knee has fully healed before offering a loan with an option to buy.
For FC Bayern, both departures would have a twofold effect: more room in the roster and additional capital that the Munich club could invest in its future plans.
