The brass at La Liga champions Barcelona are ready to sanction a sale for a member of the club’s midfield ranks, in the case of a sufficient offer arriving for his services this summer.
That’s according to El Nacional, who point towards Marc Casadó as the player in question.
Youngster Casadó is for his part of course fresh off a breakout campaign on the books of Barcelona.
Afforded a prominent role by new Blaugrana headmaster Hansi Flick, the 21-year-old took full advantage, in shining from his berth at the base of midfield.
Casadó’s excellence in possession was complemented by a never-say-die attitude off the ball, culminating in a complete midfield package.
In turn, it may come as something of a surprise to learn that, under the right circumstances, the Spanish international could be allowed to depart Barcelona this summer.
As per a report from El Nacional, the Camp Nou hierarchy feel as though something of a logjam has built up in the club’s engine room ranks.
With Frenkie de Jong looking back to his brilliant best, and Marc Bernal primed to return following a year on the sidelines, Casadó could therefore find himself as the odd man out.
As per a report from El Nacional:
‘Flick still counts on the number 17 and believes he’s a reliable replacement, but Joan Laporta and Deco wouldn’t mind selling him if they receive an attractive offer in return. So the door is open for him to leave.’
