Chelsea have suffered from ill-discipline this season having received nine red cards across all competitions.
The West Londoners received their ninth red card - and seventh in thePremier League - during last weekend's defeat to Arsenal, after Pedro Neto was sent off for two bookable offences.
Liam Rosenior has called on his team 'to create a culture of accountability' as a result, as the Blues battle to secure Champions League qualification this season.
"It needs to improve promptly. My job is to create a culture of accountability, whereby if you make a mistake, you hold your hands up and make sure it doesn't happen again. But you have to hold your hands up to the original mistake though,"he said to the media on Monday.
"Pedro [Neto] has apologised to the group. We will miss him for the next game. I need to see an improvement in the behaviour now.
"It's not just him though, we've had bookings for needless dissent and fouls. If we're to improve and get to where we want to be, we have to make a conscious step now to make sure it doesn't happen again."
In addition to Neto, Robert Sanchez, Malo Gusto, Trevoh Chalobah, Moises Caicedo, Wesley Fofana and Marc Cucurella have all been sent off inPremier League fixtures this season. Liam Delap and Joao Pedro have also received red in cup competitions.
Chelsea are now closing in on the Premier League record for most red cards in a single campaign.Sunderland (2009-10) and Queens Park Rangers (2011-12) currently hold the unwanted record, having each received nine red cards in a campaign.
In terms of players, the record for most red cards in a single season is three. A total of seven players have received a hat-trick of red cards in a Premier League campaign; Vinnie Jones (1995-96), Slaven Bilic (1997-98), David Batty (1997-98), Craig Short (2001-02), Franck Queudrue (2002-03), Wes Brown (2013-14) and Victor Wanyama (2015-16).
