FLW looks at who the most successful teams are in the upcoming League Two campaign
The 2026/27 League Two lineup features numerous clubs with a decently sized trophy cabinet.
The number of trophies won is always a tool in discussions about which club is the biggest in a certain division, and these seven fourth-tier sides will be using their accolades as ammo in fan debates across the coming year.
In League Two, though, things can often get a little clouded, and plenty of asterisks have been used to decide which trophies are more meaningful than others.
For the sake of fairness, this list will take into account trophies won in the EFL leagues and in the National League, whether that be league titles or play-off wins (not finishing in an automatic place) and then FA and EFL cup competitions, whether that be the EFL Cup, EFL Trophy or the FA Trophy.
Regional competitions won't be considered. For example, Barnet have won the Hertfordshire Senior Cup 19 times. Those trophies won't form the final number.
So, taking all that into account, here are the seven most decorated clubs set to compete in League Two next season.

Kicking off the list is Cheltenham Town, who squeeze into the top seven with six major honours to their name in the EFL and in FA competitions.
The Robins have won the National League twice in the 1988/99 and 2015/16 campaigns, and the year before their first fifth-tier success, they won the FA Trophy, beating Southport 1-0.
In the EFL, Cheltenham have won trophies three times in League Two, winning the play-offs twice in the space of four years in 2002 and 2006 and then winning the title in the 2020/21 campaign, their most recent piece of silverware.
It's been lower mid-table finishes since they were relegated back to the fourth tier in 2024, but with Steve Cotterill at the helm, who oversaw three of those six honours, perhaps a somewhat surprising run towards a seventh trophy could be on offer this season.

Bristol Rovers are a club whose trophy cabinet is dominated by regional cups, as they won the Gloucestershire Cup 32 times before the competition was abolished in 1996.
Alongside those, though, are six EFL and National League trophies. They won the National League play-offs in 2015, the League Two play-offs in 2007, and are two-time third-tier Champions, too, winning the division in 1952/53 and 1989/90.
The 1989/90 campaign saw the Gas do the double, too, as they won the Associate Members Trophy, now known as the EFL Trophy, that year. They became two-time Champions in 2007, also completing a trophy double alongside their fourth-tier play-off victory.
Steve Evans is at the helm at the Memorial Ground now, and with his promotion expertise in League Two, it may be time to make room in the trophy cabinet once again ahead of next May.

If this ranking took into account automatic promotion without winning a trophy, then Rotherham United could be by far and away at the top, having secured promotion five times in the last 14 years alone.
Nevertheless, the Millers have clocked in a respectable seven major titles, all in the EFL. They're two-time third-tier Champions in the 1950/51 and 1980/81 campaigns, and have secured promotion via the play-offs twice more in that division, too, in 2014 and 2018.
In League Two, they won the title in 1988/89, but all of their other promotions out of that division have been via second and third-placed finishes. Next season, there'll be a focus on collecting a second fourth-tier title.
Then, there are two EFL Trophies in the cabinet as well, winning the competition in 1996 and 2022.

Port Vale have a rich history behind them, with their first recognised title on this list coming by way of the third division during the 1929/30 campaign. They'd become two-time champions in the 1953/54 term and add a promotion via the play-offs in 1988/89.
Meanwhile, in League Two, the Valiants finished atop the pile in the 1958/59 campaign, and recently won the play-offs in 2022, beating Mansfield Town 3-0 in the final.
Like with Rotherham and Bristol Rovers, too, there are a couple of EFL Trophies in the cabinet at Vale Park as well, as Vale won the competition twice in the space of eight years, in 1993 and 2001.
With their last two seasons in the fourth tier ending in promotion, there's a high chance that Jon Brady's side could add to these seven accolades in the near future.

Swindon Town are the only current League Two outfit that has won the EFL Cup, as the Robins lifted the trophy at the Old Wembley in the 1968/69 campaign after beating Arsenal 3-1 after extra time.
They've also won promotion to the top flight via the play-offs twice before, too, in 1990 and 1993, the latter leading to their sole campaign in the Premier League.
With a third-tier title in 1995/966 and a play-off trophy in 1986/87, alongside three fourth-tier titles in 1986, 2012 and, most recently, in 2020, Ian Holloway's side are the third most decorated team in next season's League Two.
And, they've done so with accolades that some of their fellow fourth-tier peers could only dream of winning.

Chesterfield collected the silver medal on this list to go alongside their nine trophies in the cabinet at the SMH Group Stadium.
The majority of their accolades come in the fourth tier, where they're four-time Champions, lifting the trophy in 1970, 1985, 2011 and in 2014. They've also won the play-offs in League Two as well back in 1995.
Their success in the third tier predates the Second World War, winning both of their titles in the 1930/31 and 1935/36 campaigns. More recently, though, the Spireites won the National League title just two years ago.
There's an EFL Trophy to go alongside it, too, as Chesterfield beat Swindon in the final of the 2011/12 edition, and came close to winning it again in 2014, but runners-up medals don't count here.
After defeat in the play-off semi-finals in each of the last two seasons, Paul Cook's side will be hoping to break that duck and make it double digits for trophies on this list this time next year.

All of Grimsby Town's EFL accolades have taken place before the turn of the century, but their strong history has them topping the League Two trophy table ahead of next season.
The Mariners are two-time second-tier Champions, winning one of those trophies in the 1800s, back in the 1898/99 campaign. Their second title came in 1933/34.
In the third tier, Grismby have lifted the title three times in 1926, 1956 and 1980, while also securing promotion via the play-offs in 1998, which stands as the last time they've secured a promotion from one EFL league to another.
Indeed, David Artell's side have still enjoyed their days out at Wembley in the National League, winning the play-offs in 2016 and 2022. In the fourth tier, their only trophy came by way of a league title in 1971/72, something they'll hope to replicate 55 years on come May next year.
