Furthermore, it is also believed that Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana is a potential target for Trabzonspor. Esteemed Kompany sources have also learned that signing Stefan Ortega is considered to be a better financial fit for Trabzonspor. Currently, Stefan Ortega has yet to respond to any overtures from Trabzonspor.

Without a doubt, Stefan Ortega deserves the opportunity to be the first-choice goalkeeper away from Manchester City. During his time at City, he has been a key contributor to Pep Guardiola’s side. His save against Tottenham during the closing stages of the 23/24 season was a key moment in Manchester City claiming a fourth consecutive Premier League title. Although he was signed as a backup to Ederson, Ortega always gave his all for his club. He deserves the opportunity to be the number-one keeper elsewhere, given that his opportunities look to be limited at City.

A move to Turkey is still open for Stefan Ortega. The Turkish transfer window closes on September 12. So there is hope that he can find a move. Perhaps a move to Trabzonspor could happen before then.

Stefan Ortega is too good to spend his time on the periphery of the Manchester City squad. He deserves the opportunity to play regularly.
