Thierry Henry was impressed by Real Madrid’s win over Manchester City in the Champions League last 16, joking about their European aura.

According to Le Progres, the former France striker, now a CBS Sports Golazo pundit and ex-Barcelona forward, said he was blown away and quipped that wearing the shirt in the Champions League might even make his hair grow back.

Real have been inconsistent this season, yet on Wednesday they delivered a high-class display, beating City 3-0 with a Federico Valverde hat-trick.

The competition seems to stir them. Eight-time champions since the start of the 21st century, they continue to rise to the occasion in Europe.

Henry also underlined the collective effort, saying the side, often accused of lacking cohesion, defended for one another to win the match.
