Three Marseille youngsters earn first call-ups for Lorient trip | OneFootball

Three academy players have been called up by Habib Beye for Marseille’s trip to Lorient on Saturday at 17:00. According to L'Équipe, the reshaped group travels after a second Marbella camp for Ligue 1 matchday 30.

Several regulars are absent. Facundo Medina is suspended, while Geoffrey Kondogbia, Nayef Aguerd and CJ Egan-Riley remain injured.

To cover those gaps, academy trio Ugo Lamare El Kadmiri, 18, Hilan Hamzaoui Slimani, 20, and Nouhoum Kamissoko, 21, receive their first call-ups to the squad. All three were involved during this week’s work in Marbella.

The promotions add options on the bench and reflect the club’s aim to highlight its pathway. In attack, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mason Greenwood are included.

Marseille are in the thick of the European race with little margin for error. A positive result in Brittany would keep them close to the leading pack before a decisive run-in.
