Erik ten Hag’s men will undoubtedly be heading into the match desperate for a victory, having picked up just two points from their opening two matches of the competition against FC Twente and FC Porto.

Ten Hag has selected a 20-man squad for the meeting with Fenerbahce, which means nine players will make the bench rather than the 12 permitted under UEFA rules. This includes two backup goalkeepers in Altay Bayindir and Tom Heaton. ‘

Amidst a number of absentees due to injuries, United have named the teenage trio of Ethan Wheatley, Harry Amass and Habeeb Ogunneye in the matchday squad.

United also relayed that Jonny Evans – who picked up an injury last weekend during the comeback win over Brentford – will not be involved.

Other players who remain unavailable to Ten Hag for selection include Harry Maguire, Tyrell Malacia, Luke Shaw, Leny Yoro, Kobbie Mainoo and Mason Mount.

Bruno Fernandes is not eligible to play against Fenerbahce as he is suspended after receiving a yellow card in the 3-3 draw vs. Porto at The Estádio do Dragão.

Here’s the full United travelling squad:

Goalkeepers: Altay Bayindir, Tom Heaton, Andre Onana.

Defenders: Harry Amass, Diogo Dalot, Matthijs de Ligt, Victor Lindelof, Lisandro Martinez, Noussair Mazraoui, Habeeb Ogunneye.

Midfielders: Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, Manuel Ugarte.

Forwards: Amad, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, Rasmus Hojlund, Marcus Rashford, Ethan Wheatley, Joshua Zirkzee.

This will be the seventh time the Red Devils come up against Fenerbahce in a competitive fixture and it’s currently all square on three wins apiece.
