Inter Milan were crowned Serie A champions for the 21st time on Sunday evening, after beating Parma 2-0 at the San Siro.
They created their first opening inside 10 minutes with Denzel Dumfries glancing a header wide.
The visitors’ first sight of goal came midway through the first half, when Mateo Pellegrino worked his way into a good position, but he miscued his effort.
Nicolo Barella came the closest to breaking the deadlock, rifling a powerful shot towards goal. His effort left goalkeeper Zion Suzuki rooted to the spot, but the ball cannoned back off the bar.
The ball then fell to Marcus Thuram, but Suzuki came off his line to smother the ball.
Thuram eventually beat the Japanese goalkeeper in first-half stoppage time, firing a right-footed shot past him.
The Nerazzurri continued to dominate after the interval, but created no genuine chance until the 71st minute.
Federico Dimarco sprinted down the left flank and whipped in a perfect cross for Dumfries, but he blasted the ball over.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan sealed the victory in the 80th minute, receiving a precise pass from fellow substitute Lautaro Martinez, before slotting past Suzuki.
Nesta Elphege had a goal ruled out for Parma, and Suzuki made a brilliant save to deny Davide Frattesi on the stroke of full-time.
