Grêmio midfielder Tiaguinho, 18, is undergoing tests for ongoing headaches and will again miss Saturday's friendly with Chapecoense.

According to Globo.com, he sat out the friendly against Cascavel due to a persistent migraine. The symptoms continued and the club began a deeper investigation.

He has undergone a series of medical tests and has been kept out of training. He is well, and the aim is to secure a complete diagnosis. Grêmio declined to comment when contacted.

A highly rated academy product, Tiaguinho earned starts early in the year but was withdrawn by Luís Castro at half-time of the first Gre-Nal, after which his opportunities decreased.

The Portuguese coach has praised the youngster's quality and says his development is being worked on day to day, even when he is not selected.

Tiaguinho has made nine appearances this year, five in the Gauchão. His most recent outing was the draw with Montevideo City Torque in the Sudamericana on 26 May.
