Manchester City's comeback hopes have been derailed in the opening 25 minutes at the Etihad Stadium this evening.

The Premier League giants came into the night down 0-3 on aggregate, and now to make things worse, club captain Bernardo Silva has been sent off for an intentional hand-ball on the line.
The home side were buzzing in the opening minutes, but it took only a few breaks the other way for Real Madrid to find their moment.
A close-range Vinícius Júnior appeared to be blocked on the line by Silva, but after a lengthy VAR check, the Portugual international was given his marching orders for intentionally saving the shot with his arm.

To make matters worse for Pep Guardiola's side, Real Madrid were awarded a penalty, and up stepped Vinícius to dispatch it and all-but end City's hopes of a miraculous comeback.
The linesman appeared to have raised their flag for an offside decision in the buildup, but that decision appeared to have been overturned after the VAR review.
Now breathe people, what a crazy opening 25 minutes!
