The Czech forward was handed his debut start in Edinburgh and featured for just over an hour before giving way to Sebastian Tounekti.
The loanee from Borussia Monchengladbach made an immediate impact by playing a key role in Celtic’s second goal, driving down the left hand side before delivering a cut-back that allowed Yang Hyun-jun to finish from close range.
Cvancara’s lively performance came amid a challenging personal week away from the pitch.

Speaking to the club’s media channels after the final whistle, Cvancara reflected on his display and reiterated his belief that the title race is far from settled.
Cvancara said via Celtic’s YouTube channel: “It was quite a difficult game. A lot of duels. A lot of long balls. We aren’t happy with one point. We can win the game, but in the end, one point is quite okay.”
“We were winning 2-1, so in the end, we conceded two goals via set-pieces. I would say that it is our mistake. We will work on that and get better.”
“I would say it was very difficult. For me, I arrived three days ago, and I have lots of flights. It was a difficult game. I can help with better performances. I am happy I can make an assist to Yang, but I would say that I could offer a little bit more.”
“It’s not over until it’s over right?”
The 24-year-old has arrived on a loan agreement that runs through the end of the 2025/26 campaign, with the club retaining the possibility of making the move permanent.
The forward is unable to feature in Thursday’s must-win against Utrecht due to UEFA regulation rules.

Attention for Cvancara turns to Sunday’s home league encounter with Falkirk, where the Czech striker will be aiming to open his scoring account in front of the Celtic Park support.
