Tomás Araújo has recovered from a muscle injury and could be available for Benfica’s meeting with Braga. According to Glorioso 1904, the Portugal international is fit again after several weeks out.

The centre-back was spotted in the latest training session at Seixal as Benfica prepare to host Braga. José Mourinho could pair António Silva with Tomás Araújo, with Nicolás Otamendi suspended for one match.

Araújo has not featured since the derby at Alvalade on 19 April, when he was withdrawn after discomfort in his right calf.

It was his second lay-off inside a month, having already missed the matches against Casa Pia and Nacional on 6 and 12 April respectively.

This season he has played 37 competitive games for Benfica, 21 in Liga Portugal Betclic, nine in the Champions League, four in the Taça de Portugal, two in the Taça da Liga and one in Liga Portugal Meu Super. Across 2,615 minutes he has one goal and one assist, and is valued at €28 million.
