Tony Mowbray was among the crowd at Ewood Park as Albion scrapped to a draw with Blackburn Rovers.
As reported by ExpressAndStar.com, the relegation six-pointer was short on quality.
A bumper travelling support of 7,500 saw Aune Heggebo rattle the crossbar, the closest Albion came to a winner.
The outing came a year to the day since Mowbray was axed as Albion boss, his short-lived second spell ending just days before the season finished.
The former manager, who has also been spotted at Middlesbrough games, previously led Albion to the Premier League and enjoyed success with Blackburn on their return to the Championship. He has not yet returned to the dugout since his last job in the Championship with Albion.
