ALAJUELA, Costa Rica – The Final Round of the 2026 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers continued with a 1-1 draw between El Salvador and the Dominican Republic in Group A on Tuesday at the Costa Rica Football Federation Field #1 in Alajuela, Costa Rica.

Both teams tried to break the deadlock in the first half but held each other scoreless through the break.

Emma Torres sent a header to the back of the net to give El Salvador the lead in the 70’.

The Dominican Republic found the equalizer in the 90'+4’ thanks to the efforts of Mia Romero, who pulled one back through a right-footed strike in the box.

Both teams continue their qualifying campaigns on Thursday, March 19. The Dominican Republic will face Canada, while El Salvador clashes with Nicaragua.
