The 18-year-old has expressed a desire to leave the French capital in search of a new challenge, despite his inner circle favouring a different path.
While his entourage would prefer him to continue his development and journey in the French capital, Mbaye’s eye is firmly fixed on a potential move abroad.
Aston Villa remain heavily interested in securing the signature of the highly-rated Senegal international. Unai Emery’s side have been tracking the ‘very dynamic’ winger aggressively, viewing him as a perfect high-upside addition to their attacking ranks.
The Villa’s recruitment team are keen to capitalise on the youngster’s desire for a new chapter, reportedly positioning themselves at the front of the queue.
Tottenham Hotspur are also attentive to the unfolding situation, keeping tabs on Mbaye as they evaluate wide options.
However, Spurs’ interest is currently described as less pronounced than Villa’s, with the North London club keeping an eye on things without launching a full-scale pursuit just yet.
With Mbaye’s contract running until 2028, PSG holds a firm negotiating position, but the winger’s personal stance could force the French champions to consider lucrative offers.
Mbaye was recently on international duty at the World Cup, where he scored for Senegal in their group-stage opener against France, further enhancing his reputation.
Given the plethora of attacking talents standing between him and regular first-term action at the Parc des Princes, it is no surprise he wants to leave.
