Pedro Porro has said he is ‘proud’ to see his name being linked with a potential move to Real Madrid.

Porro has been named as a potential option for Real Madrid in the January transfer window, after Dani Carvajal’s season was curtailed due to an ACL injury.

The Spanish and European champions are considering right-back additions in the winter and continue to be linked with Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose contract at Anfield expires next summer.

Porro has also been named as an option, after impressing in the Premier League at Spurs. The 25-year-old scored three goals and provided seven assists in the Premier League last season and has been called up to the Spain squad for October’s internationals with Denmark and Serbia.

Asked on rumoured interest from Real Madrid, Porro said it was pleasing to see his name linked with Los Blancos, citing it as recognition of his performances in a Spurs shirt.

“Of course I’m proud with these links, it means I’m doing things well,” Porro told Revelo.

“If that happens one day, it happens. Now I’m fully focused on my club, Tottenham.”
