In a recent report, journalist Graeme Bailey mentioned that Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs hoping to land Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic. It has been claimed that Spurs would have to compete with Chelsea and Newcastle United in the race to sign the Serbian striker this off-season.

Vlahovic’s Decent Numbers In Serie A

Vlahovic enjoyed a good run of form at the Turin club in the previous campaign when he produced a string of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 26-year-old banged in ten goals and grabbed a couple of assists in 23 matches for Juventus last season on all fronts.

The Serbian talent remains one of the most talented forwards in Serie A. Thus, it is no wonder that Spurs are eyeing a move to bring Vlahovic to North London this off-season.

His current contract at the Allianz Stadium will run out at the end of this month, which could open the door for Tottenham to sign him on a free transfer this summer.

Will Vlahovic Be A Good Choice For Tottenham Hotspur?

Vlahovic can engineer a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the vision to engineer the odd chance for his teammates in the final third and is a strong runner with the ball.

Standing at 1.90m, the Serbian sensation can use his strong frame to win some 50-50 aerial duels for his team. However, it remains to be seen whether he can make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League if Spurs manage to snap him up later this year.

We can expect Vlahovic to inject more firepower into Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi’s attack. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at the North London club in the coming seasons.

At 26, Vlahovic has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a decent choice for Tottenham to pursue in this summer transfer window. The Serbian striker might even help Spurs get back to challenging for a European spot in the Premier League in the future. Therefore, De Zerbi would be wise to go all out to lure the Serbian attacker to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this off-season.
