In a recent report, journalist Pete O’Rourke claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are trailing Arsenal for on-loan Aston Villa winger Jadon Sancho. It has been stated that Spurs have fallen behind the Gunners in the race to land the Manchester United wide player next summer.

Sancho’s Loan Spell At Aston Villa So Far

The 25-year-old has caught the eye at times during his loan spell at the West Midlands club, but has struggled to be consistent for them in the Premier League. Sancho has found the back of the net once and secured one assist in 25 matches for Aston Villa this season across various competitions.

The English wide player has got a wealth of experience at the highest level and would be a real asset in Tottenham’s squad next season if they manage to get a deal done for him next summer.

His current contract at his parent club, Manchester United, will run out at the end of this campaign, which could open the door for Spurs to sign him on a free transfer at the end of this campaign.

What Should Tottenham Hotspur Boss Igor Tudor Do With Regards To Sancho?

Sancho has got the pace to cause some headaches for his marker out in the wide areas. He has got the vision to create some inviting chances in and around the opponent’s penalty area and is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet.

The English talent can even chip in by scoring and creating some important goals for his team in the final third. Sancho is primarily a left-winger but can also function as a right-sided wide player if needed. However, he has to find a way to be more consistent with his productivity up top.

We can expect Sancho to add more firepower to Tottenham boss Igor Tudor’s attack. He is good enough to serve a useful presence in the North London club’s match-day squad.

At 25, Sancho has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a worthy target for Spurs to consider this summer. With all things considered, Tudor should focus on going all out to sign the English sensation on a free transfer later this year.
