In a recent post on X, journalist Eduardo Burgos revealed that Tottenham Hotspur have launched a move to sign Al-Nassr winger Angelo on deadline day. It is understood that Spurs failed in their attempts to sign the Brazilian wide player.

Angelo’s Impressive Rise In Saudi Football

Angelo has enjoyed a decent campaign at the Saudi club as he has put in a string of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 21-year-old has found the back of the net four times and earned six assists in 27 appearances for Al-Nassr this season across multiple competitions.

The Brazilian wide player has caught the eye at times with his performances on the right side of the Saudi club’s attack. He is currently among the best young wingers in Saudi football, so Spurs would have done well to get him on board on deadline day.

His current contract at Al-Nassr will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it difficult for Tottenham to sign him on the cheap at the end of this campaign.

Should Tottenham Hotspur Boss Thomas Frank Go Back For Him?

Angelo is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with it out in the wide areas. He has got the eye to play some killer passes in the final third and can strike the ball with venom from long range.

The Brazilian talent has already chipped in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals up top. Angelo is primarily a right-sided wide player but can also serve as a box-to-box midfielder or as an attacking midfielder if told to do so. However, there are some concerns over whether he can cope with the physical style and high intensity of the Premier League if Spurs manage to snap him up later this year.

Angelo would have added more firepower to Tottenham head coach Thomas Frank’s attack. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the coming seasons.

At 21, Angelo has got the potential to be a future star in English football. Therefore, Spurs boss Thomas Frank should consider going back in for him in the summer.
