Tottenham Hotspur have struck a £55 million deal with West Ham United to sign Mohammed Kudus, according to The Athletic.

Their pursuit of Kudus has been a priority this summer as they look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

The Ghana international impressed during his first season at West Ham but was disappointing last term, although that has not diminished his reputation.

Kudus, who is under contract at the London Stadium until 2028, has an £85m release clause, but West Ham were open to negotiating a lower fee.

Tottenham had earlier tabled an offer reportedly worth £50m plus add-ons. West Ham rejected the bid as they wanted a fee closer to the 24-year-old’s release clause.

However, with Kudus expressing a strong preference to join Tottenham over other interested clubs, both sides worked to bridge the gap.

No issues are expected with personal terms, as Kudus is eager to play Champions League football and views Tottenham as the ideal next step in his career.

The Ghanaian is expected to undergo a medical on Thursday and officially sign for Spurs, completing what is one of the Premier League’s most high-profile transfers of the summer.

His versatility across the frontline makes him a shrewd addition for Spurs, who are preparing for a return to Champions League football after winning last season’s Europa League.

West Ham are expected to reinvest the funds from Kudus’ sale into their squad.
