Tottenham open talks to sign Eze – latest transfer reports | OneFootball

Tottenham have opened talks to sign Crystal Palace forward Eberechi Eze with the England international’s release clause expiring on Friday.

As per The Guardian, Spurs are trying to beat their north London rivals Arsenal to the signing of the FA Cup and Community Shield winner, but they do not intend to meet the £68 million release clause.

Arsenal have previously been interested in bringing Eze to the Emirates but with long-term injuries to James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski, Spurs want him to help bolster their squad.

Newcastle striker Alexander Isak has moved out of his home in the North East as he looks to force a move out of the club according to The Times.

The Swede has been training alone away from the squad and was reportedly the only player not allowed at the team bonding day at the teams training ground.

The BBC report that Liverpool did put in a bid for the striker worth £110 million on the 1st of August but have since said that they are prepared to walk away from the deal.

Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest are close to completing a deal for James McAtee from Manchester City as per The Athletic.

Even though nothing has been agreed at the moment talks are moving in a positive direction.

Nottingham Forest sold Anthony Elanga to Newcastle and McAtee has played on the right wing for both club and country so he could be seen as a direct replacement for the Swede.

Elsewhere, The Guardian say that a deal for Newcastle to sign Brentford forward Yoane Wissa could be completed this week.

Newcastle have been interested in signing a striker after the departure of Callum Wilson and Wissa left Brentford’s pre season camp in July in hopes of securing a move away from West London.

And, finally, Sky Sports report that Monaco are interested in signing Kieran Trippier from Newcastle United.

The English defender only has one year left on his contract but Eddie Howe still believes he is a key member of his squad.
