Sevilla are assessing early proposals for Rubén Vargas, though high financial demands and the Swiss winger’s sporting aims are slowing a quick agreement. The club continue to seek immediate liquidity ahead of the window.
Orgullo de Nervión reports that Trabzonspor of Türkiye have made firm enquiries about the 27-year-old. Vargas, alongside Akor Adams, is viewed as one of Sevilla’s main assets to generate profit.
AS states Sevilla have set a minimum asking price of 12 million euros to open the door to a sale this summer.
Despite Turkish interest, the talks face complications. Trabzonspor are bound for the Europa League, while Vargas intends to join a club in next season’s Champions League, and he has yet to give the approach the green light.
ABC de Sevilla claims several Serie A sides have placed Adams high on their lists after a strong campaign in Nervión. The Nigeria international hit 16 goals for club and country last season and carries a 15 million euros price.
Completing both exits could bring a combined intake close to 30 million euros, sharply improving Sevilla’s scope to recruit. How the club resolves interest in Adams and Vargas will shape the remainder of their summer business.
