Transfer: Mohamed Doumbia expected to join Al-Ittihad

While the European transfer window has already closed, the Saudi market continues to buzz with activity. Al-Ittihad are on the verge of making waves by signing young Malian midfielder Mohamed Doumbia from Royal Antwerp.

Multiple reliable sources have confirmed that a deal has been reached between the player, his current club Royal Antwerp, and the Saudi club Al-Ittihad.

According to Belgian media outlet DH, the deal could be worth up to €19 million. Doumbia is expected to sign a five-year contract with Al-Ittihad and is set to undergo his medical in the coming hours— the final step before the official announcement.

Since his arrival in Belgium in September 2023, Mohamed Doumbia has showcased immense potential. His performances, versatility, vision on the pitch, and passing quality have caught the eye. Last season, the Malian featured in 30 matches for Royal Antwerp, starting in 27 of them, scoring twice and providing two assists.
