The transfer window is stepping up a gear as Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham all work on completing huge deals in what is set to a huge summer. The Gunners are closing in on the signing of Morgan Rogers in a deal worth at least £80million, and continue to be linked with an audacious swap deal for Julian Alvarez. A fee has been agreed for wonderkid Jeremy Monga, and remain interested in Ayyoub Bouaddi, Bradley Barcola, Eli Junior Kroupi, Christos Tzolis and Andria Bartishvili.

Aston Villa are plotting a surprise move for former Tottenham defender Emerson Royal.

Unai Emery’s side are seeking a budget-friendly back-up for Matty Cash and the Brazilian could cost £7.7m from Flamengo, who he joined from AC Milan a year ago.

Royal, 27, spent three years with Spurs, making 79 appearances and scoring four goals.

The Villans’ Champions League qualification necessitates greater squad depth, and Royal’s potential addition would fulfil that need.

Leeds to sign Harry Wilson as Fulham exit nears

Leeds have reached an agreement to sign Harry Wilson, ending Fulham’s hopes over a new contract, writes Sam Tabuteau.

Standard Sport understands the Wales winger will sign a long-term deal at Elland Road after rejecting a proposal to remain in west London.

Fulham had been keen to keep hold of Wilson, who was voted as the club’s player of the season earlier this month, and had offered him an extension to his expiring contract.

However, the 29-year-old has decided to join Leeds when that Fulham deal expires on June 30 and will undergo a medical.

Arsenal agree personal terms with Manu Kone

Manu Kone made made it clear he wants to join Arsenal if he leaves Roma this summer.

According to Italian outlet Quotidiano Sportivo, personal terms are already been agreed with the Gunners and, despite interest from Atletico Madrid, the midfielder is focused on a move to North London.

The 25-year-old has been playing alongside Adrien Rabiot for France and should get plenty of minutes at the World Cup, giving Arsenal fans a closer look at him.

Roma are thought to want around £4million, although a bid closer to £39m could be enough. Arsenal tried to sign Kone in January, but Roma weren't interested in selling halfway through the season.

Arsenal set to sign wonderkid Jeremy Monga

Arsenal are finally closing in on a deal for Leicester wonderkid Jeremy Monga.

Standard Sport’s Arsenal correspondent Matt Verri understands that there has been progress in transfer talks between the two clubs following a period of protracted negotiations.

While the move has not been finalised just yet, the Gunners are expected to soon wrap up a deal for the teenage winger worth in excess of £10m.

Arsenal will avoid a tribunal to decide a fee for Monga, who can pen a professional contract at Arsenal when he turns 17 on July 10.

Tottenham growing confident of beat Man Utd to Fernandes

Tottenham have moved ahead of Manchester United in the race to sign Mateus Fernandes, with confidence growing that a deal will be reached.

The Times report that Roberto de Zerbi’s side are willing to a pay higher fee - reported to be £85m - than the Red Devils, while The Sun claim that Spurs are ready to offer the player bigger wages.

Sandro Tonali is another target who Spurs are in firm talks with as they target both the Newcastle and West Ham midfielders for their new-look midfield.

Chelsea begin talks to sign Lacroix

Chelsea are engaged in early talks as they pursue the Crystal Palace centre-back Maxence Lacroix.

It is understood that the Blues are advancing their interest in the former Wolfsburg defender.

Standard Sport reported on Tuesday that the west Londoners hold a genuine interest in Lacroix and that he featured prominently on their list of summer centre-back targets, above the likes of Como defender Jacobo Ramon.

It has been reported that Chelsea are willing to offer £40m for the defender.

Palestra contract length revealed as Chelsea plan medical

Marco Palestra will sign a six-year contract at Chelsea, writes Dom Smith.

Standard Sport understands the full-back is set to sign a contract that will run to 2032. Chelsea will also have an option to extend it by a further year through to June 2033.

Chelsea are very close to finalising a deal to sign the Atalanta defender for a package of around £45million.

Inter Milan were frontrunners to sign the 21-year-old but the Premier League side hijacked the deal and moved at pace to reach an agreement with Atalanta, convincing the player to come to the capital.

The Serie A side could not match the offer nor wages being offered to the player by Chelsea, even through Palestra will fit into the club’s bonus-incentivised wage structure. The move is now almost done.

Atletico issue Alvarez stance

Mundo Deportivo claim that Atletico Madrid are prepared to leave Julian Alvarez on the bench all season amid interest from Barcelona, Real Madrid and Arsenal.

The striker revealed publicly on Monday that he wanted to leave the club, but Atleti are within their rights to treat Alvarez how they want, except if they exclude him from training.

They are staying consistent with their valuation of the forward, citing his €500million release clause as the only way that they will sell him.
