The January window is into its final fortnight as Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool all look to step up their quest for new signings. Arsenal are said to be targeting Ousmane Diomande as an alternative to Marc Guehi, who will join Manchester City on Monday after completing a medical. The Gunners are also looking to sign Ayyoub Bouaddi, having already been linked with the likes of Anthony Gordon, Tino Livramento, Breno Bidon, Igor Tyjon and Vasilije Kostov, while Oleksandr Zinchenko is heading to Ajax.
Jeremy Jacquet has indicated his desire to join Chelsea after talks held to make him the first signing of the Liam Rosenior era, with personal terms reportedly agreed. Manchester United now have Joao Gomes in their sights as they plot a midfield overhaul, with Adam Wharton, Carlos Baleba and Elliot Anderson also on their shortlist.
Thomas Frank is under huge pressure at Tottenham, who should finally announce the signing of Souza as Crystal Palace stick with Oliver Glasner for now and look to wrap up a deal for Sidiki Cherif, while Liverpool are rumoured to be eyeing both Yan Diomande and Eduardo Camavinga. Tottenham have still yet to announce the £13m signing of teenage Brazilian left-back Souza from Santos, though he was at the stadium for Saturday’s shock last-gasp home defeat by rivals West Ham and was pictured heading into the dressing room.
Of far more pressing concern for Spurs fans this morning will be the future of Thomas Frank, with reports yesterday that the club were considering sacking him as he is losing internal support.
According to the latest from Sky Sports, as it stands, Frank is expected to remain in charge for Tuesday night’s Champions League visit of Borussia Dortmund.
He is due to conduct a pre-match press conference at 3:30pm GMT.

Chelsea are now said to have agreed a deal with Jeremy Jacquet.
The French centre-back has quickly emerged as their top transfer target for January following interest from Arsenal.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have an agreement on personal terms with Jacquet and have a contract ready to go.
He says talks are ongoing with Rennes, with a Blues contingent having travelled to France in an effort to try and lower the €65m (£56.4m) asking price that would constitute a club-record sale for the Ligue 1 outfit.

Marc Guehi looks set to complete his move to Manchester City today.
The England defender is said to have undergone a medical yesterday ahead of signing a five-and-a-half year contract at the Etihad Stadium.
Provided there are no unforeseen last-minute hiccups, that transfer should be announced at some point on Monday.
City are paying £20m plus add-ons for Guehi, who was not involved during Crystal Palace’s defeat by Sunderland on Saturday.
Chelsea are believed to have a sell-on clause for Guehi worth almost 20 per cent, netting them around £4m.

Arsenal are said to be stepping up their interest in Ayyoub Bouaddi.
The teenage midfielder has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium for some time.
According to RMC Sport, Arsenal are targeting a January swoop for Bouaddi and have already taken “formal steps” towards signing a player said to be valued at around £43m.
However, they say that Chelsea, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in the 18-year-old - a French Under-21 team-mate of Jeremy Jacquet.

Manchester United have a new target on their transfer shortlist in Joao Gomes, according to reports.
The Red Devils, who began the Michael Carrick era with a remarkable derby win over Manchester City on Saturday, are known to be targeting a midfield overhaul in the summer.
Adam Wharton, Carlos Baleba and Elliot Anderson are all of major interest to United, while CaughtOffside now claim that they are also targeting Wolves’ Gomes.
Liverpool are no longer believed to be interested in the Brazilian, though United could yet have to battle Napoli and Atletico Madrid for his signature.

Chelsea look set to beat Arsenal to the signing of Jeremy Jacquet.
The Blues have accelerated initial summer plans to sign a new centre-back as they look to make the first new addition of the Liam Rosenior era at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea stepped up talks with Rennes over the weekend for Jacquet, whom talkSPORT report has told his current club that he wants to make the move in January.
A huge boost for Chelsea, who are already said to have agreed personal terms with the French Under-21 international.

Arsenal are looking at Ousmane Diomande as an alternative to Marc Guehi, reports claim.
The Gunners, along with Liverpool and Bayern Munich, were keen on signing Guehi on a free transfer in the summer when his current contract at Crystal Palace expires, though injury-hit Manchester City have now swooped to sign him in January in a cut-price deal worth £20m plus add-ons.
That’s left Arsenal searching for other defensive options, with CaughtOffside claiming that they are eyeing Sporting centre-back Diomande, who recently played at the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco with Ivory Coast.
They also claim that Eintracht Frankfurt left-back Nathaniel Brown is on the transfer radar at the Emirates Stadium.

Oliver Glasner and Crystal Palace chose to go public about his summer departure and the sale of Marc Guehi to Manchester City in the same press conference so the Austrian could not be accused of quitting in protest.
In a Friday afternoon press conference that featured two pieces of bombshell news, Glasner confirmed club captain Marc Guehi’s move to City is in the “final stages” and also revealed he himself would leave Palace in the summer when his contract ends.
Standard Sport understands a consensus was reached between Glasner and Palace chairman Steve Parish that this was the best time to reveal his summer departure.

Victor Osimhen would “100 per cent” be open to joining Manchester United this month, according to Rio Ferdinand.
Osimhen has been linked with a transfer to Old Trafford and the Premier League for several seasons, but last month appeared to end ongoing speculation over his future last summer with a £65million move to Galatasaray, following a successful loan spell from Napoli.
Galatasaray have reportedly placed a €140m (£121m) price on their star man’s head in a bid to ward off potential suitors.
Despite the potential financial obstacles, Ferdinand believes Osimhen would be willing to make the move if United expressed concrete interest.
