Thank God it's Friday, and all that. But while many switch off for the weekend, there's no rest for the rumour mill. Here is the latest transfer talk from the January window.
Liverpool look likely to miss out on Marc Guehi, with Fabrizio Romano's revelation that the defender is edging ever closer to Manchester City. The Reds saw a deadline day deal for Guehi collapse in the summer and now look set to miss the boat altogether.
Fear not,Liverpool fans, as the club's recruitment team already have another Premier League defender in mind. Spurs centre-back Micky van de Ven is on the summer wish-list, according to multiple reports.
Also eyeing a centre-back are Chelsea. Liam Rosenior's first port of call is a defensive addition and Bournemouth's Marcos Senesi is a top target. The Argentine's expiring contract may make a mid-season move feasible, says talkSPORT, as the South Coast exodus continues.
Michael Carrick is reportedly set to be given funds to spend atManchester United this month. Despite his caretaker status, the wallet might just be opened. Middlesbrough's Hayden Hackney (TEAMtalk) is an option for a long overdue midfield overhaul.
However, Al-Hilal'sRuben Neves is not a target, says the Evening Standard, despite a reasonable £20m asking price.
Manchester United, reasonable, and transfers rarely go together in the same sentence...
In terms of outgoings at Old Trafford,Harry Maguire has a queue of Serie A suitors. Tuttomercato say Inter Milan, Fiorentina and Napoli are all interested in the scapegoat-turned-clutch-cult-figure this month.
A discardedManchester United asset enjoying a renaissance in Italy? We've seen this film before... Scott McTominay has been akin to Diego Maradona reborn in Naples, could Maguire now become the Sheffield Cannavaro?
Finally,Celtic like the cut of Callum Wilson's jib. West Ham's recent striker signings have made the veteran surplus to requirements, with Ben Jacobs reporting that an offer from the Scottish champions is on the table.
