The penultimate Transfer Tiers turns to wide forwards, mapping a three-band market view for the 2026 summer window.
According to NY Times, a panel of sporting and technical directors, coaches, scouts, intermediaries, analysts and local experts proposed nine names for recruitment meetings. The tiers mirror elite clubs, those just below and a wealthy middle, and inclusion does not mean a player wants to move or will be available. If other options shift or are unavailable, elite sides could still opt for a Tier Three profile.
Tier One features Julian Alvarez, who drew 25 of 40 Tier One selections and has excelled in the Premier League, the World Cup and now La Liga, age 26, Atletico Madrid. Bradley Barcola attracted major interest last summer, but Paris Saint-Germain and the player had no appetite for a move, age 23. Yan Diomande joined RB Leipzig in summer 2025 for €20m, age 19.
Rafael Leao sat exclusively in Tier Two, age 26, AC Milan. Iliman Ndiaye also lands in Tier Two, age 26, Everton. Christos Tzolis operates mainly from the left for Club Brugge, age 24.
In Tier Three, Jarrod Bowen received many Tier Two votes but finished behind Tzolis, age 29, West Ham United. Bazoumana Toure has been a triumph in this season’s Bundesliga, age 20, Hoffenheim. Maghnes Akliouche is a recognisable option, age 24, Monaco.
