Trent Alexander-Arnold explains Jude Bellinghm’s role in his Real Madrid move | OneFootball

New Real Madrid signing Trent Alexander-Arnold has on Thursday provided an insight into the role played by compatriot Jude Bellingham in his decision to make the move to Spain.

Defender Alexander-Arnold was of course finally unveiled in the colours of Real Madrid earlier today.

After seeing out his international commitments with England over the last week, the 26-year-old made the journey to his new home late last night.

Alexander-Arnold, in turn, faced a round of questions in front of the media, providing a whole host of interesting insights with his responses.

And one such answer which has since sparked particular intrigue.

After it was claimed that Jude Bellingham – a close friend of the right-back – had played a pivotal role in convincing Alexander-Arnold to make the move to the Santiago Bernabéu, he was asked if this was indeed the case.

And though TAA did admit that he spoke with his international teammate about the move, he assured:

“Bellingham? We spoke, but it wasn’t like people thought it was (laughs). We spoke about Liverpool, we spoke about Real Madrid, normal conversations between players.”
