Trubin ‘to be considered’ by Real Madrid if Lunin leaves, 20 million euros price mooted | OneFootball

Anatoliy Trubin has been linked with Real Madrid in this window, with the Benfica goalkeeper viewed as cover if Andriy Lunin moves on. Ukrainian media report that Madrid are weighing the 24-year-old as a candidate, with a valuation around 20 million euros.

The report adds that, should Lunin depart the Bernabéu in the coming weeks, José Mourinho would need a new deputy for Thibaut Courtois, and Trubin is among the names discussed. Mourinho knows the keeper well after working with him at Benfica last season.

The report also states Benfica would consider negotiations at that level. Not all of any sale would stay in Lisbon, as Shakhtar Donetsk are due 40% of any profit on a future transfer under the agreement signed in 2023.

Benfica paid 10 million euros for Trubin, a figure that can rise by one million if targets are met. A deal at the mooted price would therefore see a significant slice head to Shakhtar.

Trubin produced one of his standout Benfica moments against Real Madrid, scoring late in the Champions League league phase. His goal ensured the Portuguese side advanced to the next stage.
