Juventus’ Men’s First Team are back in Serie A action this Saturday, September 27, with Atalanta visiting the Allianz Stadium. Kick-off is set for 18:00 CEST in Turin.
Ahead of the game, coach Igor Tudor was put through his usual pre-match press duties.
“We had two days off before turning our attention towards Atalanta. Since Tuesday we’ve worked a lot, with real determination and intensity in preparation for this game. Tomorrow’s game is one between two Champions League teams, so it’s a high-level game.
“We played them in a friendly this summer but that counts for nothing tomorrow. We’ll have to play attentively, careful not to give them any space that they can exploit.”
“[Francisco] Conceicao isn’t feeling the best and we’ll assess him tomorrow. [Edon] Zhegrova, on the other hand, is working away towards reaching top form.
“I’m really happy with [Dusan] Vlahovic’s performances so far. We have a lot of options in attack and that can only be a good thing for the team. Both Jonathan David and Lois Openda are two good options as well, and we’re getting to know them more by the day.
“Vasilije Adzic can play in a lot of positions. He’s been much more relaxed since his goal against Inter, like he has a lot less on his mind. He’s a very good player.
“Andrea [Cambiaso] is a versatile player who sees football differently to most. I often allow him to play where he prefers, adapting to the opposition. He’s someone who can play at the very best clubs in Europe.”
“Ivan is a friend. His work has often been underestimated, but he’s always achieved good results with the teams he’s coached. He had some bad luck with Roma last year, and then in England, but his ability is clear for anybody to see.”
