We've got peak MLS Cup Playoffs drama in Los Angeles as the Galaxy and Minnesota United have traded goals in the opening five minutes of the Western Conference semifinal showdown Sunday afternoon.
The Galaxy come into the affair as the favorites to capture the cup after a swathe of giants crashed out of the competition in the last few weeks, and they got off to a flying start against the Loons.
The ball from Riqui Puig was a peach, and Gabriel Pec finished with aplomb, but their quick start was cancelled out just a few minutes later.
After being stunning inside 60 seconds, the visitors responded in kind, pulling level thanks to a Kelvin Yeboah screamer from an acute angle.
Two goals in five minutes, and we've got ourselves the making of an MLS Cup classic on our hands.
To add to the drama, the Galaxy pulled ahead once again before the 20-minute mark thanks to a Dejan Joveljić header.
Buckle up, folks.
