Al Ahly and Pyramids eye chance to catch Zamalek

Two postponed games could rewrite the Egyptian Premier League title race
Two postponed Egyptian Premier League matches could reshape the title race as Al Ahly & Pyramids aim to catch Zamalek.
The Egyptian Premier League standings are heating up as two postponed matches from round 15 take place on Monday, with major implications for the title race.
League leaders Zamalek currently sit at the top with 43 point but both Al Ahly & Pyramids FC have the chance to draw level if they win their matches tonight.
Al Ahly will face Talaea El Gaish while National Bank of Egypt SC take on Pyramids in the other game.
Al Ahly visit Talaea El Gaish at the Military Academy Stadium in Cairo with kickoff scheduled for 19:30 GMT.
A win would lift the defending champions to 43 point putting them level with Zamalek at the top of the table and increasing the pressure in the race for the title.
Pyramids also have the same opportunity if they secure victory against National Bank. The Cairo-based side currently holds 40 point, just three behind the leaders.
Further down the table, teams like Smouha, Wadi Degla and National Bank remain in the mid-table battle while Ismaily, Pharco and Electricity of Ismailia are fighting near the bottom.
With several rounds still to play, the Egyptian Premier League is shaping into one of the most competitive seasons in recent years.
Zamalek currently lead the table but the gap at the top remains very small.
