Everton have signed Sunderland-linked teenager Tyrique George on a deadline-day loan that includes an option to buy.
According to Sunderland Echo, the move was completed after the seven pm deadline once a deal sheet was filed and an extension granted.
George said he is excited to join a massive club, wants to start quickly, and aims to impress passionate fans with hard work and attacking play.
He also cited David Moyes as a key pull, praising his record with players such as Wayne Rooney, and said he hopes to learn under him and improve.
The forward added he feels ready to make an impact, wants to hit the ground running, and is looking forward to playing at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Everton head coach David Moyes said the club are pleased to sign George on loan from Chelsea for the rest of the season, describing him as a versatile forward across the front line.
He added that he hopes the youngster settles quickly with supporters’ backing and that staff are looking forward to working with him.
Sunderland, meanwhile, recruited Ecuador international Nilson Angulo from Anderlecht after Simon Adingra joined AS Monaco on loan with an option to buy.
The 22-year-old signed a four-and-a-half year deal, with Kristjaan Speakman calling him a quick, creative wide player who is eager to make an impression.
