The U17 World Cup wasn't a resounding success for African teams, none of whom made it past the quarterfinals.

A rather average showing for the continent's representatives, who nonetheless had the potential to chase a historic double after Morocco's previous U17 World Cup triumph.

That being said, several young stars made a name for themselves in this tournament, most notably Mali's Seydou Dembele, who completed 14 successful dribbles.
