Union Berlin sign former Middlesbrough striker Emmanuel Latte Lath on loan

1. FC Union Berlin have signed 27-year-old Ivorian forward Emmanuel Latte Lath on loan to boost their attack.
According to BuLi News, the former Middlesbrough striker has moved to the German capital on a temporary deal from Atlanta United FC.
Latte Lath said talks with Union were positive from the start and that he has already experienced the atmosphere at the Alte Försterei. He looks forward to meeting his new team, contributing to success and feeling the support of the fans. He views the Bundesliga as a major challenge, is excited to take it on and wants to prove himself at this level while helping the team with his qualities.
Managing director for professional football Horst Heldt said Latte Lath has progressed step by step and shown his quality in different countries. He believes the striker’s pace, mentality and instinct for goal fit their attacking profile and add extra options. Heldt added they are convinced he will integrate quickly with the team.
The loan gives Union additional attacking options at the Alte Försterei.
