Aston Villa are pushing to sign Nicolas Jackson but are nowhere near the money Chelsea want, whilst there’s another unnamed big club in talks according to journalist Rahman Osman.
Jackson’ future is going to be a hot topic for the final week of the transfer window, with his time at Chelsea all but over.
The 24-year-old has fallen down the pecking order following the arrival of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro this summer, and he won’t be involved in Friday’s game against West Ham.
Chelsea are reportedly looking for around £80m for Jackson, but there’s said to be a feeling amongst clubs that price can be negotiated down.
Jackson is attracting interest from a number of clubs both in the Premier League and Europe, with Napoli and Juventus reportedly keen.

Aston Villa are said to be pushing hard for Jackson, and Chelsea are thought to be open to a loan as long as they receive a big loan fee, and the deal includes an obligation to buy.
However, there are yet to be any official offers, and Osman has now provided an update on Jackson’s future.
He took to X.com and said:
“Latest details on Nicolas Jackson situation: Villa pushing among others but they’re no where near the figures Chelsea are asking.
“There is also another unnamed big club in talks.”
Jackson isn’t the only big name Chelsea are looking to move on before the end of the window, with Christopher Nkunku also falling into that category.

Nkunku has attracted interest from Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig, but so far both German clubs have only shown interest in a loan deal.
Chelsea and Nkunku both want a permanent transfer, with the Blues said to value the France international at £43m.
