Egil Selvik saved a penalty in the 41st minute to secure Watford's 0-0 draw with Leicester City at Vicarage Road.
The Norway goalkeeper guessed right to palm away Patson Daka's spot kick, springing low to his left. He then tidied up crosses and loose balls to steady the Hornets before the interval.
After the restart he blocked Stephy Mavididi's drive (51.), and soon after pushed out Divine Mukasa's angled effort before turning it behind for a corner (63.). The Foxes kept asking questions, but Selvik's handling stayed clean.
He was at full stretch again to stop Ricardo Pereira from a tight angle (75.), and in the sixth minute of second half stoppage time he reacted sharply to deny Ben Nelson from close range. He finished with five saves, including the penalty stop, plus two high claims, the clearest proof of his command when the Foxes delivered 18 crosses and 15 attempts.
Because Leicester found joy with quick switches and early deliveries, Selvik's positioning and punchy footwork kept the Hornets stable and made sure the box belonged to the hosts in the key moments.
The Hornets visit Queens Park Rangers next, while the Foxes host Preston North End.
